The Weekend~
First….its been too bloody hot. Over 30C all weekend….and I don't want to deal with anything over 24 >_<
Friday: In the morning, Sierra randomly attacked my arm. Her Hyperesthesia sometimes manifests as aggression and has been so bad since she’s been on Prednisone for her Asthma. Usually talking sets her off, volume or tone doesn't matter and you never know when its going to happen.
She'd already bit me a few times the night before but this time, it either went deeper or was a different spot because my entire hand went numb. Usually I just push her away and ignore her but if she tries to go at me again, then I put a blanket over top of her, leaving her head out so she doesn't freak out and just quietly pet her. Which is what I had to do this time and she was purring like nothing happened.
My arm was incredibly sore, swelling up where the bites were but I needed to be sure she was okay first. Then it was time to make a doctors appointment. I told him I usually take care of these myself but since this one seemed worse…
He checked it over then gave me a Tetanus shot and I was good to go. Came home and got ready to go to troupe Changeling. Game was fun just insanely hot. I couldn't believe that some people were able to play in full or almost full costume.
Saturday: Woke up to my arm hurting a lot more than the day before, the spot where I'd had the injection was quite sore. Got dressed and headed out to meet a friend and go to Summerfest. It was okay, a lot of people I know who usually sell art weren't there as they were busy preparing for Minicomi coming up in a week. We scanned all the vendors a few times then hid out in a frozen yogurt place to enjoy the AC:
After that, we bused out to another friends in Vancouver where a soft RP Requiem LARP was being held. I just stopped in to say hi and hang out for a bit, not play. Gord had bought me this adorable Hello Kitty marshmallow pop which will never be eaten because it is too cute <3
Also got to check out (and hug XD) his Build a Bear Toothless plushie <3
Left with Liam to adventure out to Kerrisdale to have dinner, once I cooled down I was starving. Cannot eat in this heat and I never even notice I’m hungry o_o. Stopped back at his place to borrow the OITNB book <3
Sunday: Went to New West a couple hours before I had a downtime session to stop at the new Rexall and omg…they had a full stocked NYX display so I was able to FINALLY pick up a Jumbo Pencil in Milk <3 30% off as well. Fuck you Target~
Downtime was ok, all I did was intimidate a few people to not drunkenly wander on stage. Then later, had a soft RP phone call with Shotgun because he got attacked and badly injured at a singing contest. So my character was freaking the fuck out. Next game will be all of us going to war so they are going to have dinner together the night before~ Something nice because people are probably going to die ;_;
I also took a photo of the little giraffe I made him months ago, he's looking a little beat up because he carries him in his pocket all the time (aww XD) but he's still in one piece ^_^
