Eurgh, my tummy feels so stressed right now....there is the usual goings on and stressing about photographing that wedding. The guys called me about it today, as soon as they said it was in January I thought "I knew it...with my shit luck this is going to be on the ONE day I've been looking forward to for months!" And it is...it falls on Jan.18th...the day of the Changeling Winter Masquerade ball.
I need to be there at 4pm, wedding stuff starts at 5 and then there's a reception. All in the same place thank god and even better? Its a 13min drive from the Mason's Hall. The wedding is super casual so I'm hoping I won't need to stay for the entire reception. Game starts at 7pm....I'd rather not miss more than an hour of it. I also need time to get into costume (my white regency gown) and do make-up.
I've also never done a wedding before (Changeling does not count :P), other than some of my brothers and receptions or getting ready before hand. I've always said no to the actual wedding part.
I emailed back asking a few questions as well as how long they expect the reception to go. They are going to pay me which is lovely and I can put it back into Sierra's rapidly depleting vet fund. Srsly, it started at $2000 and between the visits to diagnose the asthma, pills and her expensive food and litter...its not at about $450 and I get panicky.
Plus her Hyperesthesia acts up from time to time, so next check-up I will also mention it. Hopefully she won't need to go on anything else.
Did I mention I got a tree? Because I totally got a tree....
Landlord up and quit = REAL TREE FOR ME! Well, it was so Sierra could experience a real one. I walked over to Save On, all the tree's were the same price...so the dude held up one and said it was 6ft. It looked too small to me so I asked for a 7ft. He pointed to one, I stupidly didn't stand it up and just DRAGGED it all the way home in the snow...realizing as I was partway down the block that no....this was not 7ft...this was 8ft...but no...its actually a 10 foot fucking tree. We sawed some off, it was still jammed into the ceiling. Didn't realize until the next morning that it wasn't sitting all the way in the stand...so it didn't get water for more than 8hrs...its now DRIED up omg...so not only will there be no topper...but no lights on it either because = FIRE-HAZARD OMG! LAwls omg, what a mess.
Had a nice but exhausting past few days, hung out with a friend for some girl talk, went to game and tonight was Marcella and Neils Yule party. Glad tomorrow it a rest day though, I have some clay charms Im working on and one of them I was doing today was not going so well omfg. EFF YOU DUST ARGH! Its baked, I just need to paint and glaze...hope it doesn't look too awful o_o
