8 days post-op: On Friday night I was going batshit, my stupid bra was cutting in so bad and making me itchy/sore.
I posted in the BR community and again they were all WTF@my surgeon, putting me in one of my old bra's (minus the underwire) and not some sort of surgical bra. They were also WTF at the fact she wanted me to keep the same one on 24/7 for a week. Gross.
Several of the girls had 2-4 post surgical bras, the one they were given at the hospital and maybe a couple the bought themselves, usually front closure bra or sports bras. So I changed out of my godforsaken pink thing and into the only sports bra I had, the Nike one I'd bought for the gym. Also was able to finally see what I look like, well one of them because the gauze kept coming off the right breast. It looks so good omg, I'm so happy. I measure in at an F cup now but it'll be 6-12 months until I settle into my finally size of a C (possibly a D). Anyway, it felt sooo much better and then the next day we went up to Walmart to look for something else.
I couldn't get any front closure bras, there was only one kind and the band sizes started at a 36, actually the majority of the bra's I looked at were 36's and once in awhile a 34. I managed to find 2 over the head soft cotton sports bra's in a large. Thank god I'm able to raise my arms above my head (even though I really shouldn't be and only plan on doing it to get the bras on and off.) or I don't know what I would do.
They were about $15 each which blew me away, I don't think I've ever paid under $40. Got home that night exhausted and sore, hoping I didn't split a stitch. It is incredibly easy to do as is internal bleeding. They even tell you not to do anything to raise your blood pressure and don't even get turned on o_o
Hurt so much more today, its usually the far sizes of the under incisions. Trying to take it easy but its hard, even with help I still have to do things like hold Sierra (not pick her up because shes over my 3 pound weight limit but keep a hand on her) so she doesn't run out my door, which today caused me to kind of squash my lefty, I almost cried. Hoping I didn't do any damage....
Chris and Dana came over today with Katherine, I was so sad I couldn't hold her let alone have her in my lap, and I was already down because I'd missed Anthony and Mimi's big Masquerade ball the night before (no way I could go like this =(). They picked up another high chair for her, brought over her playpen and a lot of gear because we will be having her here weekdays since Dana goes back to work this week.
Thought the evening might get a little better, I was going to go sit and watch the auditions for Glamourati but being tired/sore/drugged on Benadryl for the itching....I screwed up on the time and got there right at the end and missed everything =( It was really nice getting to see everyone but I was sad to have missed the dancing. Thankfully another one is being held on the 22nd so I will go then.
