you know what i hate? condescending people who don't answer simple yes or no questions and instead take the opportunity to give you a bunch of sassing and bullshit lecturing that a) you don't have time for, b) you don't need, and c) is downright rude.
Apparently, the Monthly pass for public transportation in this city is not on a 30-day basis, but rather on a monthly basis, in that it becomes valid on the 1st of the next month.
Hence why I couldn't get my pass to work, and I asked a Transit Employee if that was the case. "Excuse me, hi, I bought a 'December' monthly pass... does that mean I have to wait until the 1st of December to use it, like it's not a 30-day pass sort of thing?"
"Honey, think about what you just asked me. What did you just ask?"
I was rude to the guy. Mea culpa. Maybe. And of course the new weekly pass I then purchased didn't work, giving him the satisfaction of "See, now it don't work and y'all need my help. 'S what you get for being nasty."
Of course I'm in a nasty mood. I just spent $75 on something that I can't use for another week. I could also say that you, sir, are a rasict jerk who thinks that all asian people are idiots who don't understand how this system works (before me, he was impatiently trying to teach two other asian girls how to reload their card at the vending machine.)
Effing life. This is why I hate Mondays.
