Seeing as I'm already in a pickle much like yours, I think we're already sharing. Although, I'm not really in a pickle and I hope you're not either, because that would be very weird. I wonder who came up with that saying.
Brady didn't bother with writing back, already sure that it would take longer for the owl to fly home than for him to get there. So after quickly changing his shirt and telling his parents where he was going, Brady Apparated to Jen's front porch.
Taking in a deep breath of fresh air, he raised his hand and knocked on the door.
Hearing the knock, Jen's head shot up. She ran over to the door and went for the doorknob, but paused briefly. She quickly smoothed her shirt out and flattened her hair before opening the door. Jen smiled brightly when Brady appeared.
"Hi there," Brady said, returning her smile. He stepped inside just enough for her to shut the door behind him. "How've you been? Haven't seen you in a little while."
As she responded, he took in her appearance and for a brief moment felt slightly confused. But he couldn't put his finger on why....
"Yeah, that's so awesome!" said Jen, leading Brady over to the living room, where several sofas lay. She let him choose, while she sat in a single chair facing one of the larger couches.
"She definitely is." Brady sat down on the couch facing Jen. "Keeps going on and on about how wonderful it is. She got her wand the other day; can't wait to use it."
He smiled and shook his head, though he decided it best to keep his concerns about his little sister to himself. "So any ideas yet on how to chase away that boredom?"
"You pick," she smiled softly. "Either ice cream, or the mall. But before you say anything, there's other things to do besides shopping at this mall," said Jen with a laugh.
He hadn't had many good experiences at malls, that was for sure. He'd always went with his mother, who created memories of hours spent shopping for clothes and one particularly awful haircut.
"Well, sometimes they have concerts. Like, people will come and play music," said Jen. "And there's tons of food to eat, and other stuff that I can't think of," she added with a laugh.
While waiting for Brady to speak again, she looked at him for a moment, but not in an obvious manner. He seemed so gentle. So caring. She loved spending time with him.

We could hang out or something. I'm trying to think of what we could do, but I'm sure it'll come to me.
You could start off at my house?

He winked playfully and stood up. "So how do we get to this mall?"

"Well, it's not very far, unless you mind walking?" she told him.
