One of my long-term, dearest friends is having a baby. Or will be soon enough. Right now she is in the hospital and is just waiting for her labour to begin. By the time Tyler is born, he will be about 6 weeks premature. I adore him already. I have stated that I should be known fondly as 'Aunty Angie' and I shall pamper him like all good Aunties should.

I visited my dear friend in hospital tonight, saw her HUGE belly, and the baby sticking out in all different directions, he moved his head around, then I put my hand on my friend's belly and actually FELT his head move around. I am intrigued by this thing called 'birth'. I also heard little Tyler's heart beat and got so very clucky!!!

So, instead of my aim to be a doctor, I am going to be a midwife. That's right people, in Angie's dream world she will be living in Canada (or at least out of this hole that people refer to as Adelaide) and she will be a very successful midwife with a hunky (did I just write 'hunky'? Oh the shame) guy that I will be dating/married to and we will have at least one little baby of our own who will be a girl and her name will be Sharlie.

I am going to see my very pregnant friend in hospital again tomorrow night, so I won't be going to the gym and I won't be going with my mother to a certain festival (I got my aunty to fill in!), I have a photo of this very pregnant friend's stomach saved as the wallpaper on my phone!

Am so so so excited about this adventure that I am determined to help her go through!
