Wait wait wait...there's life after college?

The new semester is looming on the horizon and I'm actually kind of excited for it to be honest. I'm taking a full course load of 18 credits, and I'm still working at both the H&S Dean's Office and Mac's so it'll definitely be a busy one.

Currently I'm trying to figure out what to do this summer/post graduation.

I think I'm applying for a fellowship at Nickelodeon, but it's super ultra competitive (they only accept UP TO four people per year -- talk about intimidating). The only thing with that is that I won't hear if I even got past the first round until around the end of Agusut.

Ugh. Why must I be so impatient.

So that has left me in quite the current state of turmoil about what to do after graduation. Here are my options:

1. Get a paid internship (only $7/hour) in the city and possibly live with some of my current roomies there. The internship, which doesn't have to be for credit thankfully, will only allow me to do 180 hours TOTAL so I would be there for like, what, 3 hours a week? Not to appetizing but it would allow me the chance to live in a city that I've never even visited before with some of my closest friends. I would have to get a second job though cause rent is so not free.

2. Move to the city with some of those same roomies and try my hand at landing a job in the industry. I was thinking of aiming for a soap opera since I already have experience in that field with my internship at Passions and I know that there are four soaps that film in NYC. I could also try getting a job on like Today, The View, GMA or some other talk shows/morning new shows too. I just don't know what my chances of doing this is are.

3. That paid internship from option number one? Yeah, well it's offered by the NY State Broadcasters or something like that, and they actually have internships like that all over the state including ones in Ithaca, Syracuse and Utica (good ole' WKTV) but I'm just not sure if that's something I really want to do outside of the city.

4. Move to LA, find a place to live and find a job. I was thinking of trying to find a spot at CBS since I also interned there last fall. I just don't know how practical this is. I would at least need to have money to move out there, and currently I have like zero dollars and zero cents to my name.

5. Go back up to Old Forge and work at the park again. This would mean living in housing and working like ten hours a day. Granted, I love the people at the park buttttt this is so not something that I really want to do again, especially considering that I want to try and find something related to what I actually want to end up doing in life.

6. Live at home and find a job for the summer. This is the least likely to happen, and the least desirable. I am ready to stand up and get out of Clinton. It's nice for a visit but that whole area is just so...desolate. And boring. I guess I would live at home if I were to do the internship at WKTV but that is the last place I would want to intern. I actually don't want to intern anywhere that only pays $7 an hour, but I'll have to live with what I can get.

So yeah...those are my options, as of right now at least, who knows what tomorrow will bring.

Ugh, the real world is calling and I so don't want to pick up the phone.
