ROAD TRIP
So today is day two of my cross country excursion to Los Angeles (where I'll be for the semester in case you didn't know). I would've updated last night but I ended up swimming in the pool at the hotel for a while before going to bed.
Currently I am in Elk City, Oklahoma for the night after leaving Terre Haute, Indiana this morning. We stopped in St. Louis for about an hour and a half-ish so that we could see the arch and eat lunch and what not.
The hours of driving may be long but really, it hasn't gotten me that tired at all. I was actually more tired after leaving St. Louis this afternoon that I am right now, and that's weird because I've been in the car for almost 10 hours.
Tomorrow we end up in Sedona, Arizona for the night, then on Thursday we're driving to the Grand Canyon and then ending up in Las Vegas for the night. Friday, we're staying in Vegas again (at Treasure Island) and then Saturday is our big arrival in Los Angeles.
I would write more, but honestly, there's not a lot to talk about because there's not a whole lot going on here in the midwest. We really only go to bed once we get to the hotel cause A) we don't know the area at all and B) we drive almost 800 miles a day (at least that's what we did yesterday, today and tomorrow). So yeah, not a whole lot to describe but it is nice, don't get me wrong. Although, my one really big complaint is that it's so hot during the day. The highways have no coverage from trees and we've pretty much had clear skies each day so far so the sun just beats down on us. Wicked hot, but other than that, everything's been smooth sailing.
Well, I'm off, tomorrow we're driving through Texas and New Mexico before getting to Arizona. I hope everyone's well and I'll try to update again tomorrow! Love!
