Incredible Weekends: Priceless

Nov 05, 2006 22:55

Long time no update, for me anyway.

Life's been fairly good, fairly crazy and all around fairly normal. I'm pretty much counting down the days til Thanksgiving break when I can have a full 10 days of nothing but pure relaxation to take my mind away from the mundane, day to day workings of my week.

I've essentially been living for the weekends recently, as they've been some of the most fun weekends I've had at Itahca...like ever. For example, last weekend: it was halloween weekend and we (myself, Meg, Ally, Russ, Steve, Steve and Ian) went out as the seven deadly sins. I was greed, we made a good fit. Hopefully pictures will be up on facebook soon.

We went up to Shayna's boyfriend's circle for a party. It was really super crowded, but it was a lot of fun. The seven sins were a big hit, we got a lot of compliments on our costumes. Not to mention how fun it was to be partying it up with Shayna again, that hasn't happened a lot this semester unfortunately. After we left the party, Meg and I went down to the Gardens for a continuation of Halloween festivities with J. Ho, Alyssa and the rest of the group. Once again, it was a ton of fun.

This past weekend had a remarkable absence of alcohol, but it was a nice quiet weekend which I haven't had in a while. Friday I stayed in, after waiting over two hours for food from Sinbad's with Michele, I just watched some tv and a movie or two before going to bed fairly early. Saturday was the make up shoot for the two scenes of Hollywood 101 we didn't get to last weekend. It was a lot of fun, probably one of the most fun days of shooting we've had all semester, despite the fact that it took us a little longer than expected to tape two scenes. Still, a ton of fun with everyone, I love the people who work on this show and can't believe we've only got one episode left.

After the shoot Michele and I went to Fall Creek to see Little Miss Sunshine finally. Melissa was actually working so I got to catch up with her for a little bit too, which was great as always. I miss hanging out with her. In a nutshell, the movie was INCREDIBLE. I'm so mad that I didn't make more of an effort to see it earlier than now, even though I really did want to see it over the summer. Michele and I decided that we have to hit up more matinee's in the near future. Some movies we'll be seeing include: The Queen, The Science of Sleep and Running with Scissors. Can't wait.

Once I got back from there I hung out around T4 for a while before a group of us (Myself, Russ, Steve, Jackie, Ally, Sara, Steve and Ian). Then after coming back and hanging out around T4 again (mostly in Steve's room playing Mario Kart on Gamecube) myself, Russ, Steve, and Jackie went to go see Saw III. I didn't see the second one, but this was actually fairly good for a sequel (which isn't saying much), although I can't possibly imagine how they are going to make a fourth, if they're planning a fourth.

So yeah, overall, a great weekend. All my weekends are pretty incredible actually. But still, I cannot wait for Thanksgiving break.

In other news, it appears that I have a lot of options for housing next year which is...interesting, to say the least. Who knows how it's all going to turn out, but I'm sure I'll be happy come next spring; I just hope everyone else is happy too.

I haven't gotten any Entertainment Weekly for like the past three weeks, WTF? I don't understand it, but whatever...I haven't found anything particularly wall worthy while thumbing through them at work (except for the sweet Heroes cover from the current issue). I'm still also waiting on my first issue of GQ too, but they're only a monthly and it takes about six to seven weeks for them to process my subscription I guess.

Sara (from my Telecomm class, not the one from earlier this entry) gave a whole bunch of CD's to put on my computer when we were studying for our Telecomm test. I love my new music, no joke, plus I didn't have to pay for them. Woot.

And finally, tonight's tv has been PHENOMINAL! Desperate Housewives was the best it's been since the middle of season one, hell...this could have been the best episode ever. If Felicity Huffman doesn't get an Emmy for tonight then something is really, very wrong with this world. And right now Brothers & Sisters is proving to be yet another great episode. I love this new show so much, I'm so glad it's gotten a full season pick-up. It never fails to end my weekend on a great note.

So yeah, that's all there is to know from me right now. I get home on the 17th if anyone else is going to be around Clinton at that time, give me a ring. Hope everyone's well and can't wait to see everyone over break!!
