Didn't get the job, sods law there's always going to be someone more experienced eh?
To be fair, as I said to Claire, I think they were after someone with more experience of older kids, they made that fairly clear at the interview, so it's not a shocking surprise! I have, however, crept to some of my "contacts" about getting some voluntary experience so I shan't quit just yet!
On the plus side, I'm not comitted to anything and I can do my City&Guilds without worrying that it might be a waste of time, and do some voluntary stuff so I figure out if it's what I really want to do! Would have been a bit shite if I'd got it, done it for a few months then thought "actually, the little feckers are doing my hed in and I'm starting to want to give my own children up for adoption!"
