elf owls.
i just realised i had these in my interests.
they are actually the coolest birds, perhaps ever?
they are only a few inches big. they live in cacti. in mexico. And Utah.
i went all the way to brazil mainly to see hyacinth macaws, so i think a trip to mexico in search of elf owls is in order. (i'll pass on Utah.)
