Ooooh, I was late for SGA Santa this year. But I'm done, I'm done, *sings* I'mdoneI'mdoneI'mdone!

My beta really liked it.

I started my reading for grad school early. I've a Young Adult book club for one of my classes, and who could resist?

This is ultimate WTF, isn't it? I'm appalled at what actually gets published these days, when I know good authors who are being turned down right, left, and center. I used to have a pretty good handle on the book biz. Not any more.

Whoever published her made a smart move, because it's a best-seller. I think there was a ... oh, sorry for the pun ... hunger for Hunger Games-type stories, and this fits the bill.

But her editors at least should've caught this.

There's a lot there that would make a good book. The idea of the older skater and his coach is an appealing one. And ice skating is a very popular Olympic venue. Win/win.

I'll stand in line to buy it!
