jeez... where did the time go?

Alright, so here I am, months later, not even updating this thing. I suppose life has either been too busy or perhaps too boring, but here goes.

In the past few months after making the big move to Missouri, I've been writing furiously. Annette Slocum Versus the Violet Envelope is the title for my first novel and so far she's managed to survive a whopping three hundred pages. Revisions have followed leaving all sorts of chicken scratches, rewrites and whatnot. Just the other day I filed a copyright, which means now - Annette Slocum is my property and no one else can claim her.

I've landed myself into a town that is filled with writers, even a retail store that has employed many of them. I befriended Susan Summers who is working on her own novel and while not ringing up customers we discuss all sorts of things like publishing houses and literary agents. Occasionally we'll have lunch and read chapters aloud, every month we have a writer's circle. Truly, I feel that my moving here was the best decision. Columbia Missouri is the place for writers, in my opinion. It's a bustling college town with like-minded enthusiasts: visual artists, writers, teachers - all sorts of eclectic groups converge.

Happiness. True happiness, is following dreams, and I believe I've made the proper footsteps in the direction to achieve mine.
