"Chinese archaeologists studying ancient rock carvings say they have evidence that modern Chinese script is thousands of years older than previously thought.
State media say researchers identified more than 2,000 pictorial symbols dating back 8,000 years, on cliff faces in the north-west of the country."
language is amazing. The way a mouth wraps and the tounge struggles with forming a sound, then multiple ones spit out in rapid sucsession to make fucking communication. Then it goes to other parts of the body; the ears receive and the brain connects it all together but perhaps the most romantic is the way the hand interpruts it all into a new form, new dimension. Whether it's finger painting on ancient cliff sides or taking a quill and scratching out a couple of figures, it changes "words" into words. Probably the last great invention of modern man is writing, and the first was language.
