ooook.... wow havnt updated at all this year lol.
but anmyways i went to this protest with Laurie yesterday. President Bush was speaking at our local college and aeveryone was protesting. i thought i was going to puke.i dont know how people can be such ignorant assholes. My veiw on the war is this. we were there in the early 80's, we pulled out, we were there in the early 90's we pulled out then too, 95' came around we were there again, and to surprise, we pulled out again. now another 3000+ lives later we want to pull out again. to pull out? NOW THATS A WASTE OF LIVES. this is why civilians should not have a say when it comes to war because they do not KNOW WAR. the ones who do know war are the Veterans, current military men and women and those passed in other wars. People say this is not our war. WELL damnit it was our war when Japan attacked us, and you know what when we attacked Japan that was the first war we had fought for just ourselves since our revolutionary war. my point is that we are a country that fights other countries war for democracy. some people are quick to point out that our enemies are not from a particular country, this is true. They are however from the same region. and unfortunitly that means that that region is harboring our enemy, consiously or not. My second point is that times are changing. it will be along time if at all that an established country will ever try to bring war upon the United States of America. Now we have to deal with terrorists acting independently or inconjunction with terror-nations. Sadam with his record had everything pointing to him that he had wepons of mass distruction. No one can deny that when we went into Iraq they thought the troops would not come out empty handed. well they did, and YOU people automatically go off the deep end saying they(the US gov't) has lied to us and just wanted oil. you fucking bastards. im not defending anyone here but g-ddamn Iraq is a big fucking place, with alot of fucking sand. i dont think i need to explain my point.I saw someone flying an American flag upside down yesterday. This person is lucky thats all i saw. Had i seen a flag burn i think i would have been arrested for setting someone on fire.... if your going to protest the war, bush, or the right to pick your damn nose in public, please, please do it with the consideration of the country. your countrys flag is a symbol of you, me, and everything this Country stands for. If you dont like what this country stands for, you can leave. i have no problem with that. on my last point, this is no VIETNAM!!!! 3000 troops have died. although a loss if even one soilder dies, in comparison that is not a large number! 3000 people died in the bay of the Pearl Harbor attacks. 50000 plus died in Vietnam. To those of you who want to cut funding, and then complain about the troops having shoddy equipment, why dont you give a service person your address so he can write you from his hospital bed? i say we stay and finish the job.
