fun in the sun...
There is something to be said for sitting around and playing various card and board games with a group of good friends. Last night was me, vicky, marcy, paul and stephen, and mike and that's exactly what we did. The boys started with some ddr, and us girls sat and marveled at our more coridinatd male friends. Then Marcy and I went to her house to pick up Uno (not Harry Potter Uno, it was sad), Guess Who, and some regular cards and bring them back to the house. We spent the next few hours occuping our time that way, before we all parted ways to go home.
This morning I was woken up from a call from Joe (what else is new) to see if I wanted to go to the beach with him. I did. So... Joe, Mel, Derik and I went to the beach, which was really fun. We spent hours getting our asses kicked by the waves in the ocean. For real. It was so much fun because all four of us were all about going in the water, which is the best part about going to the beach. After we were all beaten and worn we went to grab a late lunch, and then for some ice cream. I'm leaving in a little bit to see Derik win at the comedy club for the 3rd week in a row.
Sleeping in, beach, ice cream, plans tonight with friends... today may be the perfect summer day. =)
