I've decided that a masters degree in engineering isn't quite for me. Atleast, not yet. I'm taking a grad class this summer, Flapping Wing Flight Selected Readings AEE 590. I had the choice between that and developing an experiment. My experiments usually go poorly and end in frustration, so I chose selected readings. Then I found out that I have to read a lot and do an experiment. I'm not super interested in anything that i'm reading so I have zero clues for a good experiment. Luckily, Aaron has something for me to do. I'm going to count the number of feathers on bird wings. That's right, AEE 590 Counting. At least i can't really screw it up. That's not the real reason i'm not interested in grad school. The world of acedemia is just kind of annoying me. The papers I'm reading are generally getting a "so what?" or "duh!" reaction from me. That kind of sucks b/c that's somebody's hard work there. They are trying to find something revolutionary but have to publish in order to keep going and there's just so much fluf. I'm counting things for my grad class...yeah...counting...
