Hourglass

I run my hands in the sand. Grains of ever lasting friendships and memories we said we would share forever, but our lives alter as each passing day slides threw our fingers and pours into the hourglass. We are watching these moments as we lay back and laugh. As we gather on hilltops and watch the stars shoot by. Each star in we can see in each other’s eyes.

Everyone is smiling.

This is where the glass breaks and time stops. This is the moment we’ll remember. Our lives may fade from red to green, but this moment will always be the brightest color you will ever know.

Every tear past shed is dry. Every harsh word and every rip of the heart have been mended. If only we could keep the sun from rising and burning this beautiful starlit night to ashes.

This is the moment I would put into and hourglass. An hourglass I would turn every 59 minutes.
