Am finally home after traveling around Florence, Rome, Paris, and Berlin, and 15 hours of flighttime. The best part was definitely standing on top of Hitler's bunker, or visting Versailles (did you know that it's so big that it takes over an hour to walk from one end of the estate to the other? no wonder the peasants rebelled). Customs in NYC was just horrible - the rudest people I have ever met in my life. They kept shouting at this poor Russian woman - who obviously did not speak a word of English - until she was nearly in tears.
But I am home! And jetlagged beyond all belief! I keep waking up at 3:30 AM on the dot - which I guess would be 12:30 pm in Berlin, so that makes sense. I 'm sad I missed everyone who's already left to go back to school though :( Why do your schedules not conform to mine??
I also get to buy a new computer while I'm here! I considered a HP and Dell, but I despise the HP touchpad with a fiery passion and someone told me the Dell cards keep exploding, or something. So I'm now at the Lenovo Ideapad u330 or thinkpad sl300 . I was going to order it from the Lenovo site, but I can't afford the ship date of 11(!!) business days, so I think I'll get it from amazon. Anyway, comments? Suggestions? Terrible mistake? I want a laptop under 5 lbs and 1000 dollars. . . so I am demanding.
