Okay, so here's what's been going on lately -
1. Research. Getting out of the city on a regular basis, which I'm glad of, because the food shortage is making the natives of this place just a little antsy. As in, they're spitting and throwing rocks at newcomers. Don't like the looks of this at all, I've seen enough violence in my time to know what's coming if we don't get more imports soon.
Haven't seen anything really notable yet, except the original inhabitants of this island sure liked carving pictures of themselves dancing around in circles.
2. Did I mention the food shortage is still going on? Good thing I'm trained to get food out of just about anything. I've identified the edible grasses on this island if I need them. Not that I really want to eat grass, but it's better than starving.
3. Doing part-time work helping out in the library while not on research trips. Because I want to move to a better place, and the grants I get from, well, the organization I research for ain't gonna cut it in that department.
