There was a light hint of cinnamon in the air and Mohinder exhaled sharply, indulging his senses as he wove his way through the crowd of people he hardly knew. The Company Christmas party, an obligation he endured. He knew that he had to at least make an appearance and pretend he cared for a holiday he didn't celebrate.
"Mohinder," a voice whispered into his ear and he spun around to see Peter grinning at him. "Glad you could make it."
"Not that I could have ignored the invitation," he stated as he brought the crystal glass to his lips and took a long sip of the spiked eggnog.
Peter grinned, "You didn't have to come, Mohinder."
"I don't think I had much of a choice," Mohinder glanced around the room, his eyes focusing on Angela Petrelli. "Your mother is very persuasive."
Peter laughed, nodding his head as he took a sip from his glass. "I plead the fifth."
Mohinder's gaze flittered over the people milling about and he tensed slightly as his gaze caught Gabriel's. He felt an intense wave of emotion and he took a step back, stumbling into Peter as he attempted to flee the room, needing to get away. "Sorry," he managed to apologize as he made his way past him and into the next room.
He breathed, trying to calm his racing heart, hating that Gabriel still made him feel this way. Even after all this time. It was only one night, but he still longed for more.
"You okay?" Peter questioned as he followed closely, not allowing him to dwell in his memories.
"I'm fine." Mohinder forced a smile, trying to prove his point, but Peter only snorted in reply. He sighed, drinking the rest of his eggnog, suddenly needing something stronger.
"Oh, Mohinder," Peter grinned as he pointed up and he followed his gaze.
He blinked up at the ceiling, his mouth parting as he realized that it was a sprig of mistletoe hanging above him. "Ah."
"You know what that means," Peter winked as Mohinder rolled his eyes.
"Peter you know-" he began to protest as Peter's lips descended onto his. He froze, his body tingling in anticipation as his lips sparked a sudden surge of lust. He had deprived his body and Peter had awakened something more primal.
He pulled away quickly, his eyes dark with lust. Mohinder immediately touched his lips, looking to Peter, his awed expression mirroring his own. "That was, uh, yeah."
"Yeah," Mohinder licked his lips, suddenly wanting more. "Peter?"
Peter glanced around the room, quickly yanking him down the hall. He pushed Mohinder into an empty room and kissed him once more. This time it was deeper, heated, and full of lust. Peter pulled away slightly, staring into Mohinder's eyes. "If I knew-god, I would have kissed you sooner."
"Peter," Mohinder cut in as he pulled him closer, bracing his hands on his shoulders. "Shut up and kiss me."
And he did, but the kiss only lasted a few more heated seconds before Mohinder pulled away. "I'm sorry," he gasped, touching his lip. "I can't."
Peter exhaled sharply, nodding his head. "It's Gabriel, isn't it?"
Mohinder sighed, "It's complicated."
"With him it always is," Peter snorted as he wrapped his arms around Mohinder, kissing him lightly. "Why don't you talk to him?"
"It's not the easy," Mohinder whispered as he pulled away. "Night, Peter."

"You're out late."
Peter jumped at his brother's sudden voice and he turned to him, offering a quick smile. "Gabriel! I wasn't expecting you."
"I know," he stated as Peter fumbled with his keys before he managed to open the door, and went inside.
"What do you-" Peter began, looking at everything around him, unable to focus his gaze on Gabriel. He felt his skin flush at the intensity of his brother's gaze on him. "Why are you here?"
"You disappeared from the party," Gabriel replied with a shrug of his shoulders, turning Peter to look at him. "I wanted to make sure you were okay."
"I'm fine," Peter assured him, flashing a bright smile. Peter's smile faltered as Gabriel continued to study him, and he took a step back as Gabriel rushed forward. "What the-" Peter cried out as Gabriel threw him back against the wall.
Gabriel crossed over to him, pushing himself against Peter's body. "I can smell him on you," he leaned in, inhaling deeply. "His scent, his cologne."
"Jealous?" Peter questioned, staring up into his dark eyes, running his fingers up Gabriel's arms.
"No," Gabriel scoffed, relaxing his stance, leaning more into his brother's touch.
"Who are you jealous of?" he whispered, "Mohinder or me?"
He exhaled sharply, closing his eyes. "Don't."
Peter brushed his lips against Gabriel's, it was just the barest hint of a kiss, but it was all that was needed to spur him into motion. Gabriel pushed back, kissing greedily, nipping at his lips. Peter moaned into his mouth, wrapping his arms around him.
Gabriel pulled away, breathing heavily. "This is wrong-"
"I know," Peter agreed as he grabbed him, kissing him once more.
Gabriel hissed, pulling away sharply and Peter gasped at the sudden loss. "Why him?"
"What?" Peter blinked trying to focus on his words.
"Why Mohinder?" he questioned a little more harshly then he intended.
"There was mistletoe."
Gabriel glared at him, his features dark, reminiscent of who he used to be. "And you used that as an excuse to-even when you knew about our past?"
"It's not like I set out tonight to kiss him, it just happened. Okay?" Peter whispered as he trailed his fingers down Gabriel's arm. "If you'd just kiss him-"
"It's complicated."
"Like us?" Peter caught Gabriel's hand with his own. "Why did you come here Gabriel?"
Gabriel looked down at Peter's hand on his, unable to push back the feelings he had tried so hard to keep from him. "I want…" he turned to him, his eyes dark with lust. "I just want to feel something."
Peter squeezed his hand, wanting nothing more than to heal him. "Kiss me."
Gabriel moaned, instantly pulling him into his embrace and kissing him. Peter's body molded perfectly into his, and for a moment they were transported back in time, when they had no second thoughts and didn't know that they shared the same blood.
"No," Gabriel pulled away, stumbling back as he licked at his lips. "We can't-"
Peter sighed, breathing heavily as he leaned against Gabriel. "You need Mohinder," he whispered. "You can be together."
Gabriel smiled at the thought, "Mohinder."
Peter smiled as he nipped at his neck, holding him close. "He wants you, but he thinks he can't be with you."
Gabriel shook his head. "And you think-"
Peter shushed him, his lips ghosting his own. "Yes. I do, trust me."

Mohinder glanced around the lab, eyes narrowing of the sudden abundance of mistletoe that hung from the ceiling. "Very funny," he groaned as he rubbed his eyes and placed his satchel on the table.
"It lightens up the place," Peter grinned as he revealed his presence and crossed over to him. "It's Christmassy."
"Christmassy?" Mohinder repeated, shaking his head. "Peter-"
Peter laughed, smiling brightly as he pointed to the ceiling and a branch of mistletoe hanging over his head, "Oh, Mohinder."
"I'm not falling for-" his voice trailed off as Peter silenced him with a kiss. Mohinder tensed slightly, before he responded to the kiss, wrapping his arms around Peter.
"My, my, isn't this interesting," Gabriel's voice cut in and Mohinder pulled away from Peter.
Mohinder glared at Gabriel and wiped at his lips, turning away. "Stupid tradition," he grumbled under his breath.
Peter chuckled as he crossed over to his brother. "Mohinder doesn't share in the Christmas spirit."
"Shame," Gabriel murmured as he laced his arm around Peter's waist and Mohinder turned to them.
"Oh, Gabriel," Peter winked as he pointed up and Gabriel looked up, following his gaze.
"Peter-" Mohinder began, his voice catching in his breath as he watched Peter kiss Gabriel. "Oh." Mohinder gasped, unable to look away.
Peter grinned as he pulled away from Gabriel and kissed Mohinder. Mohinder moaned, quickly returning the kiss, savoring Gabriel's taste that still lingered on Peter's tongue.
"Mohinder," Gabriel exhaled, stepping between them as Peter pulled away. Peter nipped lightly at Gabriel's lips before Gabriel kissed Mohinder.
Mohinder moaned against his lips, responding to Gabriel's kiss, wrapping his arms around him.
Peter smirked as he watched them kiss. He knew deep down it would be easier than they both implied, with a little mistletoe to ease their way.
