Secret Post 330

Apparently we missed the two year anniversary of ic_secrets! But that's alright, since we missed the first one too. At least we're consistent?

Not like that matters or anything, but it's nice to know. )

1. Hey, that kinda reminds me of someone I used to work for.

3. I don't really care about the message, that is some tasty-looking cake!

10. ...huh.

And how did you manage it?

I told him to get some exercise so he wouldn't mess up his heart? Guy got grumpy without his coffee, that's for sure.

I mean, are these like cardiac arrest heart attacks, or just "oh god you scared me" heart attacks?

That's... a possibility. But, yes, they do. And I want to throttle him.

I'm not... sure. He just said "heart attack".

Well, if it's not real live "cardiac arrest" heart attack, it's kind of. Not your business? I mean, I get that it's worrisome and annoying, but if he's not actually hurting himself, you don't want to step in. Trust me.

You think he's grumpy without his coffee? He'll be ten times worse if you tell him to cut back.

Why wouldn't I want to step in? He's an addict. It can't possibly be healthy.

I'd prefer him angry with me than... well... twitching uncontrollably.

(I apologize for him; also, in IRL terms, he'd be saying 'westerners') runswitshuriken July 14 2009, 00:17:01 UTC
You Easterners are all addicted to something! He's lucky it's something as mild as caffeine.

And, like I told you, if he's not actually hurting himself, you've got no right to step in. It's his body. He can do what he wants with it. Even if it means he does something you don't like.

His name wouldn't happen to be Reeve, would it?

I'm not an addict, thank you.

He's important to me. Shouldn't I have a say in whether or not he ends up killing himself?

Er... no. It's not. Sorry.

Uh, if he's not hurting himself, then he's not going to end up killing himself, now is he? And sure, you get a say--and you've got every right to ask him to listen to your concerns--but that doesn't mean he has to change afterward.

Don't sweat it. He's my boss. No big deal whether some anonymous person is talking smack about him or not.

I don't know if he is or not... that's part of the problem. And I'm not assuming he'll change at all... he's one of the most stubborn idiots I've ever met.

Ah, I see. No, I'm not. I doubt you even know who this is.
