Anti-piracy advertisement
In my office there's been a bit of conversation lately about motivational items, and heh, our motivational items are pretty unpredictable.
One of my comrades says his biggest motivation is that picture of a dog with false teeth. Me. It's..the anti piracy clip on DVDs here in Australia. It's a clip that tells you not to rip the DVD and give it your friends because the world will explode.
It has a mocked up quasi-industrial soundtrack, and then in big letters:
YOU WOULDN'T STEAL A PURSE ..clip of someone stealing a purse..
YOU WOULDN'T STEAL A TV. ..as above, s/purse/tv..
YOU WOULDN'T STEAL A DVD ..again..
...PIRACY IS STEALING...
...STEALING IS AGAINST THE LAW...
Real weird, because ahh. when music goes into my ears that sounds like a mashup of prodigy and prometheus burning, all i want to deal is STEAL. i haven't stolen since i've had a steady income and no longer needed to steal my food. but. shit.
if you keep pumping that soundtrack into my ears, i'm not only going to go and steal everything that isn't nailed down, i'm going to steal a claw hammer and take those nails out.
