Can you help?
My sister had a kidney infection last week that she was hospitalized for. Fever, high blood pressure, elevated fetal heartrate, vomiting, etc. If I mentioned it, this is the same sister that I threw the baby shower for. She's very pregnant. Tomorrow, she's got two weeks left. She was sent home Friday from the hospital and has been resting and taking oral antibiotics since. She has continued to feel awful and incredibly bloated, to the point where she can hardly move. She thinks its from all of the iv's she was given during the hospital stay, but it's been a few days and she still feels awful. She's taken her BP a few times today, and it's been in the 140's over 93-96 ish... and she's just exhausted. Any of my friends who have dealt with high blood pressure in pregnancy, how serious is that number, and does she need to go in? Is it likely she will deliver? She had a 24 hour urine test last week that showed trace amounts of protein, so I suspect they'll test her again.
