Holy *BEEP*!!!!
No really! Last night I was organizing my Gallery with a new system that gives each individual their own folder so people can find things easier....and I accidently clicked "Delete" on the folder that had ALL OF MY FEMALE BOLLYWOOD CELBS Graphics!!!!! *sobbing like crazy*
I mean after I clicked it, it took me to a place to confirm and I quickly clicked the Back button bcuz I obviously didn't want to confirm! And I scrolled down and it was gone! 121 files just went poof into thin air! And like every normal person, I clean out my drive so I don't have these things saved anywhere...which is stupid but co'mon...who the hell would have 121+ files clogging up their tiny hard drive?
*Sigh* So, I thought maybe I would've simutaniously uploaded everthing on Photobucket (bcuz I'm always suggesting people back up their files there just to be safe). I managed to scrowng up the majority of it...and even hunted down my old PB account and got 10-15 from there...and it took an hour to reupload everything...just to come to the conclusion that I'm still missing about 10 files....which ones? who are these unknown people? I have no idea. And I will probably never know.
So This is a warning to all you graphic makers out there...BACK UP YOUR WORK! Throw all your money on a seperate flash drive that you keep everything on. Make a habit of pluggin it in your pc when you're working. AND upload everything on photobucket. On top of everything, every month (or every 800MB) burn a CD copy of your work. Sounds drastic, but trust me, these electrical parts always have a potential to die on you...so if you only have 1 backup....beware! =`(
Now I'm going to continue to organize my work and see if I can upload these things to photobucket (the ones that I missed)....and buy a flash drive.
You'll notice that when you click on the Gallery, it will take you to the same page that just looks a little different. Now you have different Categories like Icons>>Hollywood Actors>>Name of Actor. For those that only have 1-2 icons/banners, there is an "Others/Unknown" folder. Everything is alphabetized so you know where things are and excatly what is in those 700+ files.
K, I'm gonna get to work cuz I have an exam on Monday.
