(no subject)
Work was great today - I was on my own all day. I made media, passaged cells, coated flasks, attended safety training, and such. It was also the grand opening of the new cafeteria. While it was nice and all, there were way too many people there for me. Hopefully this is a first day thing and will resolve itself soon. Although, I did get to enter a raffle for a huge ass R2-D2 cooler; liquor bottles would fit perfectly in it.
While I got my wish, the Auntie and Uncle are in Florida, the mother fucking air conditioner broke. Of course of the two, the one the does my bedroom is broken. Now I have to wait here after work tomorrow for the repair man to come and fix it. I need my air!
It is thundering and lightening out; I like it. Hopefully the rain will cool it off some. Heat makes me angry.
Best "Six Feet Under" death ever! Chick gets impaled on a fire iron after being thrown out of a chair by her husband for doing what her psychiatrist recommended. HA! Crazies are funny too. I could go for a Sambucca now too.
I am not much for non-sci-fi or non-cartoon television, but I really enjoy watching "Six Feet Under" and "Arrested Development." They both deal with dysfunctional families, but in differing ways. There is the morbid humor and drama of Six Feet and the contrasting insane and absurd humor of Arrested. Humor and morbidness are stock solutions for dealing with my own dysfunctional family.
