(no subject)
so this weekend has been pretty blah for the most part. friday night laura and i went out to dinner then went back and hung out at her place before going to the movies. we went and saw Monster's Ball....and all i have to say is OH MY GOSH!! it was amazing! it was soo good! and talk about a movie that makes you think and reflect afterwards. the credits were rolling at the end of the movie and nobody moved! everyone sat there for a good five minutes before starting to get their stuff, and even then everyone was moving slowly. that movie just left me dumbfounded! there was nothing in it that i expected to happen, and the only way to express it is oh my gosh!
so yesterday i told myself i was going to be productive and get some work done. so i sat down and put in my hitchcock movie Rear Window, which i have to write a paper on. i watched the movie, and it's really good, but i have to analyze a scene in the movie. but this movie is hellish hard to break it into scnes. ugh. oh well. it'll work out all right. so then i went to dinner and met anna and porscha and benjemin at the caf, and that was just not fun. all they were talking about was how to get alcohol and wanting to drink and this and that about getting drunk. is it really necessary to drink every single day on the weekend? and to drink for the sole purpose of getting drunk! i just don't get it! i don't mind a drink every now and then, but i also enjoy having my liver. oh well.
so after dinner i came back to my room and did nothing for a while. then rena called me back and we watched Moulin Rouge = ) which i have never seen before and enjoyed it, except for the end cause it's sad. rena and i sat and made bottles and boxes covered with magazine clippings covering them and talked while SNL was on. i just had fun with rena, she made my evening happy.
so that leads to today, and i need to get my ass in gear and work on my hitchcock paper!
