Madness
Yesterday Laura went with me to develop 8 rolls of film. I have five more to develop which I will do on Friday. Today I am gonna do shoots of Louie and his band. He wants me to do their album art and I am extremely excited about this. I have so many ideas, they just need a little more fluidity. My Uncle gave me a really sweet book with a list of reputable photo competitions. Its time to get crackin on this. I will need to make some slides. My goal is to have everything done by next week. My time is starting to be limited down here so I need to get as much done before the fall starts.
I am really upset with the art department at FSU. At least there is a new art counselor. My last advisor couldn't even tell me my required courses. I had to do madd research with my friend to figure it out. I am glad I am going back early though, my schedule is in need of some deep cleaning. Hopefully this new advisor can help me get into some photo classes. I love doing photography on my own, but I am also in some need of learning. I want to learn to develop color. Or just experience new teachers really. I am most likely going to take color photo classes at FAMU. Also I am sincerely considering photojournalism. I found an awesome semester abroad program. It'll satisfy credits for my Latin American Studies Certificate and look good on my resume. I'm considering living in the Amazon for a summer. So, I need to take spanish classes and just practice in general. It sounds amazing though. I would be living with the Napo Runa tribe. Their backyard is the amazon. I would be taking madd anthropology classes which helps my certificate a lot. I would also be doing madd photography over there. I just need to research the safety of this program. I am a bit skeptical about bathing in the Amazon river. We shall see...
