So this afternoon, I decided to head back to my Mom's instead of staying the night at my grandmothers. I had already had my mom drop off some things on her way to my step-dad's sister's wedding. So I borrowed my uncles bicycle and headed out with my shopping bag of things. When I was going down the hill on the Worthley Pond road near the junction of the Green Woods road, a woman in a black car was driving up behind me. She passed me and then slowed to a stop. I drove around her and then I heard her say "hey, are you collecting bottles?" I was like no, and was about to keep going when she said, "oh, I've got some money for you." I was like what, completely confused. So I rode over to her car to see what she was talking about. I didn't want to take it, but she said that she had too much money and that god wanted her to give it away. I was like oh god, leave it to me to find the whacko in the wilderness of Maine. So I took the money, it turned out to be a 20 dollar bill. I thought it was fake at first, but it was legit. She told me that I just had to listen to some christian radio station, 94.9 or something like that for 20 minutes; one dollar for one minute. She took off and then turned around at the junction, and asked me once again which station I had to listen to. That's when I noticed the bumper stickers stuck to her doors for the radio station, so I repeated the numbers back to here, and she speed off saying "spread the good word of the lord."
I'm still in awe. Talk about a funny little experience.
