CBDESIGN

So I started my internship at CBDESIGN in Boston's SOWA media & arts district on Monday. I'm really enjoying it there, the environment is very laid back and relaxed and everyone is so wonderfully nice. Christopher, the founder and my supervisor is awesome. Dina, my fellow designer and co-worker is also wonderful. When I met her, after 5 minutes I knew I was going to love her. I started working on a brochure for SEBA (south end business alliance) first thing on Monday. We've been working on it since then, and it should be off to the printers tomorrow. I'm also starting on a business card for a massage therapist tomorrow. I'll also be running the office until Wednesday of next week because Christopher is in Savannah until then, and Dina just left for Germany until then as well. I'm pretty excited, but also nervous, it'll be a great bullet to add to my résumé under CBDESIGN.

I'm finally getting used to getting up early everyday, and the walk through the south end is worth it everyday, it's so beautiful. It feels like you've stepped back in time by about a hundred years, you only notice what year it is when you see a person walk by with iPod headphones in their ears. I also have to walk right next to the Hancock tower everyday, like I can touch it, and it creates such a wind vortex it's not even funny. I was walking down Clarendon street on Tuesday morning and this huge guest of wind came by that lasted for close to a half minute, and I swear that if I had just jumped off the ground it would have picked me up and blew me down the street, crazyness.

Other than that, I got my grades, I passed everything, am just waiting to finish my hours for internship and then the "I" will disappear and be replaced by hopefully an "A". Graduation is a week from this Sunday, I'm really excited, but also sad that it might be the last time I'll ever see certain people. It's such a huge milestone, but the good thing is that I'll get to see my mom, so I'm excited about that.

Other than that, not much to update about. I've just been really tired at night, but I'm sure the commute as something to do with it. it's such a nightmare at night, especially on nights when the sox are playing, you literally have to squeeze yourself onto the train and be sure that nothing is caught in the doors when they close. In the morning it's not so bad because I don't have to be in until 10, so I miss most of the rush hour jams. I'll get used to it eventually. I'm liking this much more than school, well for the time being, I just love not having homework anymore!
