I'm such a nerd
I mentioned Simon Reynold's Rip It Up And Start Again book in my previous journal entry. I fooking love it! I've read 6 chapters so far (about 100 pages). I don't know if it's just because I like the subject matter, but this book is orgasmic. I even matched up the music on my iPod (I tend to listen to it while reading so I can ignore distractions) to the band(s) discussed in a chapter. For example, I listened to Devo's Q: Are We Not Men? album when they were discussed in one chapter and then on the next chapter talking about Cabaret Voltaire, I switched to CV's The Voice of America LP. My soundtrack. I'm such a nerd. I only stopped reading it for now because I got physically tired of reading.
