Hi guys!! It's been awhile!!

I just thought this would be fun to show all of you! I think you gateway people will especially get a kick out of this!! I just found an awesomely funny website that my roommate told me about!

Go here: http://www.compfused.com/directlink/615/

So what's been going on with me lately? Well for Valentine's day Matt and I went skiing at Winterplace with his daddy! That was fun. I only fell down a couple times... AND I WENT DOWN SNOWBOWL!! It was awesome! I fell, but that was only because I couldn't see over the second drop-off at the bottom and I got scared of my impending DOOM! Haha. Now I am celebrating because it is so nice to have some free time because my work is FINALLY done! Sometimes it seems as if it never ends. Ever feel that way?

Now I am in the process of beginning a paper that isn't due for a couple weeks, so its not that pressing. But its about immodest clothing for little girls. DID ya'll know that advertisers have been trying to market thongs and padded bras to EIGHT YEAR OLDS????? EIGHT YEAR OLDS???? What the HECK are they thinking?? Sometimes I wonder what this world is coming to. It certainly says something about our culture though, we're "sexualizing" our "innocent" children earlier and earlier. I mean, today six year olds know about things that I didn't even learn until high school. That may sound a bit extreme...but as most of you know I was/am very sheltered! Not that that's a bad thing. I am very grateful to my parents. Purity is such a rare thing in today's world. Its sad, but true. It makes me angry that it has to be that way. That is one thing that REALLY pushes my buttons. (Lol).

Pop culture is a reflection of society's norms and values. Is this what we value now? Has sexuality become our standard of beauty? The bible becomes truer and truer every day. "A wife of noble character, who can find? She is worth far more than rubies." Proverbs 31. Noble women are fewer and farer between. Be thankful when you meet one, they're truly a light in the darkness.

What else does the bible say?
"They may be won over[...]2when they see the purity and reverence of your lives. 3Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. 4Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight. 5For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to make themselves beautiful." 1 Peter 3: 1-5

That's what we should teach our children. Quit it with all the crap about being savvy consumers. If they learn this first, "savviness" won't even be an issue.

That's enough for now! I should be coming home the end of this month, guys! Hopefully! Can't wait to see you all!
