misplaced outrage

So today I was walking across the diag and saw a filming/taping of a show. Looked closer--it was ESPN Sports Center, doing something about Ann Arbor as a 'Title Town' or whatever. The desk was there along with some overly made-up tv personality who was interviewing some dude whom everyone seemed to know (perhaps a football player?). Behind them, about 30 people dressed in blue and yellow screaming accolades. I thought I might make my way in the crowd, but then I thought that I really didn't care at all.

Seeing national this and that in my local world makes me outraged for some reason--and I was looking for a reason to be offended by their presence, but I just couldn't come up with something. I was really trying my hardest "CORPORATE MEDIA IS KILLING AMERICA!" That's what I should have yelled, but I couldn't think of anything.

So all I ended up doing was asking a body guard "Who's that dude who looks important? I don't know who he is! Can I go to the library already?" I really didn't want to go to the library, but I wanted to make it clear that I was "better" than this whole arrangement. That's all I could some up with.

Regrets!

I should have pooped on the diag and yelled "TV IS POOP! TV IS POOP!"
