I went to this today with my mom, and my sister and my new friend Kirk.

Highlights include watching 2 tigers eat 2 halves of a calf fetus. Though much of it looked like your cat finding a chicken bone in the garbage, there was some playing and running between the two beasts. One jumped over this huge barrel to get to the food--there aren't words to describe how that looked. In the midsts of a palpable hush over the crowd, this baby screamed bloody murder and held its hands out like it had just looked death in the eyes. It was very cute. Also watched bears scavenge for peanuts and electric eels shock their food. There was an almost newborn monkey there whose big brother kept manhandling her. The lions were cuddled up next to one another--one sleeping with his tongue a little bit between his teeth. The jellyfish were totally trippy. The sturgeon were like dinosaurs. All in all it was a good day, enriched by a good four hour nap when I got home.
