"I Create Feelings In Others that They Themselves Don't Understand"
Hey Everyone! Know it's been a while since I updated, but nothing exciting has happened this Summer to me that's worth mentioning. Spent most of my time, sleeping, dreaming of that "Gunther" to come and rescue me from this loneliness. Yeah, that's never gonna happen. This has been one of the loneliest and boring Summers for me, it's ok though, back to college soon, then I'll miss all this free-time!
63 hours left of Americorps. Would have been finished by now, but that's what happens when you sleep in everyday and don't go to work til 12! Last week worked back at Shoemaker since the Day Care was closed. It was quite an experience working in an office. Shredding old papers from meetings and the Disiplinary files (Oreo you were a bad lil' boy, jk!) Answered the phone and then forgot what to say (I'm a bad secretary!) Made hundreds of copies, put 16 packets together with 60 some pages each (that machine was tricky to use), and finally putting together over 400 folders for the kids. I like that kinda work and being organized, but gotta go back to the Day Care this week.
We've had around 5 kids or less a day at the Day Care all Summer. Pre-school starts tomorrow, so it will be 15 kids, gonna be a lot different. I'm gonna miss those kids! Seems you get to know the kids better when there are only a few of them. Had some interesting times with them though!
Watched Oliver and Company, Babe: Pig in the City, Toy Story, and Finding Nemo almost everyday. I brought Nemo for the kids to watch cause I love Nemo so much!
Helped one lil' boy catch grasshoppers everday. That lil' boy sure loves bugs!
One day a lil boy asked John when me and him were gonna get married. John said we weren't, so I asked the lil' boy if he would marry me! He said No, and I told him "You broke my heart!" He ran off and came back a few minutes later with a bunch of flowers he picked for me! It was so sweet! How many guys get you flowers when they dump ya? I don't think any guy would break up with a girl like that, yet a lil' 4 year old can think of something that sweet!
Another day, one of the lil' boys jumped into my arms and gave me a kiss on the cheek! I didn't know what to do, he called me his girlfriend! He wouldn't let none of the other kids hold my hand when he was around. After that he gave me a kiss almost everyday on the cheek or on my hand! He got to where he didn't wanna let me go when his Mom came to pick him up! It's so strange that these lil' boys know how to treat girls better than these grown up guys!
Took the kids to Chucke E. Cheese a few weeks ago and they loved it! One of the lil' girls was so excited that she wet her pants as soon as we stepped in the door! It's a pretty cool place, I'd like to take Lil' Jarrod there one day. I had to help put the car seats in the van that day and noticed on the back of them it said "Do Not Use after Dec. 22nd" I was like "These Car Seats are Expired!" They just laughed at me! Still can't figure out why it says that though! John got some sticky hands and we kept getting them stuck on everything. I was so mean cause me and one of the lil boys kept throwing them on the ceiling so he would have to climb up there to get em!
Mom turned 60 last month and Bub turned 40, it's so hard to believe that and I'm 21 and feel like an old Grandma! We took Mom to see Pirates of the Caribbean for her b-day. Took Lil' Jarrod to see Superman. He was disappointed that Superman didn't beat anybody up, LOL. Last week, me and Mom saw Cars and I loved it! Lil' Jarrod came over for Bub's b-day last Sunday. He was so cute, sticking his fingers in the icing then getting it all over his face! Then we took Jarrod to the park, ran around, saw some fish, and he chased the ducks! We saw 2 lil' baby ducks that were so tiny and cute! More to write later! (Yeah, sad song cause I'm thinking of someone, Andy Drew)
