I've meant to update sooner, but just haven't felt like it. It was such a shock about Justin. I know I hadn't seen him in prob a year. I remember when we first started up at MECC. A bunch of us TS people would all park together in the far away parking lot: Me, Justin, Nick, Ashley, and sometimes Tyler. I was so nervous starting up at MECC, but we would all walk together up to classes. Just knowing my lil group would be there every morning helped so much. That one day we all took turns honking our horns and everyone looked at us funny. Then one day we took turns blasting our radios, lol. I know we weren't really close friends, but I'm still gonna miss him. It's so sad...
Know I should be excited about this trip to Richmond, but I really dread it. How can it be any fun to go on a trip with 30 some people that you don't really know or like for 3 days. Meeting more new people who your prob not gonna like either and thinking of things in the past. Should be sleeping since I have to get up in 3 hours because people in Americorps doesn't realize that Church Hill is at least an hour and half from MECC, which means I have to leave here by 5:30 am to make it there by 7, so yeah, I'm not a bit happy about that. Why do I want to get to Richmond early to shop and eat with a bunch of giggly care free girls? Ok, that was my negative comments about the trip that I will prob change when I get back Saturday.
Lil' Jarrod broke his arm and lost 2 of his front teeth. He's doing good though, just fussy, but I guess I would be too! He's so cute though, when he smiles and his teeth are missing! It's the first teeth that he's lost too, he's growing up on me!
I had to give presentations about tornados to my kids at school. It turned out pretty good. I made them packets with coloring sheets and brought a tornado bottle to show them. Peggy gave me her tornado bottle, so I just took it apart, added glitter, and lil Monopoly houses. The houses got caught up in the "tornado" just like in the Wizard of Oz! The kids really loved it. Some of them even told me today that they went home and made tornado bottles like me!
Guess I better get off here. Take Care Everyone! Have a nice week, hopefully something fun will happen in Richmond for me!
