So..here's a short summary of my trip:
7/28- installed my kartboy rear bushings before leaving for the airport at 1 to catch my 5~~ pm flight. Long 13 hour flight to Taiwan...
7/29- made a transfer from Taiwan to Hong Kong....arrived in Hong Kong at 11pm. My family friend picked us up from the airport and drove us to his apartment at HKUST. We ate snacks and caught up ...then I slept in fear after seeing a huge cocroach crawling around.
7/30- went to downtown Hong Kong to see my moms jeweler about taking the diamonds in her ring and making earrings out of them. Went shopping at the IFC later....but didnt buy anything because everything was too expensive. Then we went to find some camera stores...but couldnt find one. After shopping we went back to HKUST and I went out to ball. I played a pickup game with some local HKUST students...they got owned...but I pulled my quad towards the end...so I got owned too..I went back to the apt..showered..ate dinner... packed my bags and made a trip to cross the HK/ShenZhen,China border. Arrived at family friends crazy ass apartment at around 11pm.
7/31- Ate dimsum...went to LuoHu where I bought a Jacob..lol..some LED flashlights...not much buying this day...went back to the apartment and looked at open apartment units in the same community as our friends. Found a really nice one on the 23rd floor of one tower...

8/1- Bought the apartment that we saw...bought 15 home stereo speakers...bought a bunch of dvds...ate chinese food(I started getting sick of chinese food on this day)...watched movies with my sister till 3am..
8/2- this was a chill day...we ate..bowled..and shopped. Then me and my sister watched movies till late at night again.
8/3- packed up and prepared to catch 11~~am flight to Beijing. Sat and waited at the airport for like 2 hours before the plane got there. Arrived in Beijing at around 5~~pm....our family friend in Beijing sent a driver to pick us up at the airport...wait..not A driver...HER driver...ONE of her drivers -.-...she has two drivers that do nothing but wait in front of her house and drive her wherever she needs to go...that day I got my first massage because everybody forced me to...then we ate dinner at this restaurant with chinese opera in the background
8/4- went to the great wall.....ate local chinese food...walked too much...then went to a tomb for past emperors on the way home. That night we had our first non chinese meal...italian food =]...I was so happy that I ate a whole pizza. After dinner we went back to the house and me and my sister went to their community gym to work out for a couple hours. then we went back and watched SAVED
8/5- went to some place where chinese people used to goto to pray for good weather for farming..>>> went to the forbidden city....walked alot...took a bunch of pictures. then we went to hongqiao to shop. here I bought 1 4gb usb stick...my mom bought a bunch of table runners...i got some driving shoes...and my mom got a purse. After shopping we went to see tian an men square and eat chinese food. oh wait...i got it mixed up...we went shopping after the prayer place....then after shopping we went to forbidden city. That night we ate peking duck....it was special because it was peking duck in peking...tasted the same to me though..later me, my sister, and my friend there went to the gym to work out.
8/6- ate lunch then went to the summer palace. this place was pretty cool...i wish i had a summer palace to spend my free time in =[..after, we went to another tomb for past emperors....that night we ate japanese food which was nothing compared to japanese food here..but was still good because it wasnt chinese food.

bah..i already forgot what happened on each day in beijing so ill skip to the day i flew back to shenzhen.
8/7- got back in shenzhen at night...I remember this night because I was paying close attention on how to get from the airport to the apartment complex so that I could manage on my own if I took a trip there alone, or with friends in the future....while waiting for a taxi at the airport I saw a fatty cocroach. Got to my friends apt...chatted..went to sleep.
8/8- Ate really good dimsum for lunch....then went to luohu again with my sister to buy Elijah his Jordans.This was my first time bargaining alone...and I think it went pretty well...always room for improvement. Bought the jordans for 200rmb....= ~25US. Went back to the apt...but my parents were out buying a whole kitchen for the new apartment...so me and my sister went bowling/billiarding for a couple hours. After that we went to eat dinner....after dinner we watched movies.
8/9- This was our last day in ShenZhen...slept in...ordered delivery for lunch...watched movies. Later in the evening ..we made the trip back to HKUST. Arrived at the university around 10pm....there was a big typhoon when we got back...so we decided to goto this university student dining place that opens till 1am for dinner. Later..we watched more movies.
8/10- On this day we went back to my moms jeweler in DT HK and picked up her new earrings..then went to dimsum for lunch...then went to Stanely Market to shop a little....went by the bay to enjoy the scenery...then had an expensive dinner at a Spanish restaurant to celebrate our hostesses bday. After dinner we went to take the fairy and walked down the walkway with all the asian celebrities handprints.(Jet Li has some small ass hands)...after that we went home and watched movies
8/11- this was our last day in HK. our flight was at around 1pm so we ate lunch at the airport. Arrived in Taiwan in the afternoon..this was my first time back in Taiwan since I was 10. On the ride to our hotel...me and my sister started to tally up all the 7-11s we saw. There are so many frickin 7-11s in Taiwan. When we got to our hotel we settled down for a couple hours then went out with my aunt to eat Japanese food..which like the Japanese food in Beijing couldnt compare to the Japanese food in America. After that we went to the night market..I bought 2 shirts. Then me and my sister watched the Mr.Bean cartoon on disney channel until we fell asleep.
8/12- on this day we made a long trip to one side of taiwan. we went up this big mountain ...ate lunch...and took a clay molding class. I made a pretty cool sushi plate which looked like a fish..but decided to not have it baked. After the mountain we went back to the city and ate dinner at the famous dumpling place..i forgot the name. Later we went to SOGO to shop....i saw the BLESSED cd and thought about buying it but decided not to. That night me and my sister worked out in the gym and watched Mr.Bean on disney channel again -.-
8/13- on this day we went to the national taiwan history museum...then went up another mountain to eat mountain food and look at sulfur springs. That took up the whole day...in the evening we went to DanShui to eat dinner..play games..and enjoy the scenery. It was like a Taiwanese fishermans wharf.
8/14- this was the last day in Taiwan and the last day of our vacation. Our flight was at 10pm though so we had a while to hang around town. We spent the day shopping... I went back to SOGO and bought the BLESSED cd to support the fellow chinese schooler and MSJer in the group. Went to a jade market and bought another piece to add to my necklace. Then we went to 101, the tallest building in the world. We shopped on the ground levels then took the elevator to the top. That elevator is the fastest elevator in the world. I forgot the rate at which it travels, but it was some pretty amazing number. It only took 37 seconds to get to the top. On the top we enjoyed the view of Taipei..and I liked seeing an overhead view of all the places we visited. I bought a shirt before we took the elevator down. After 101 we ate Thai for dinner then went to take the bus to the airport. 11 hour flight back to SFO.
