Ondoy
I was shocked to see how bad Ondoy was to the Philippines. I was not aware at all until my dad told me and showed me videos from the internet. I was worried for my mom and brother, so I was really relieved when my mom told me that they're doing ok back home.
Then I saw this. An image that's been making it's way in Tumblr, and whose comment has been discussed in a very ugly way. The thing is, she's Filipino. The only difference is that she's in Dubai.
Now I know that all of us has the right to say what we want to say. I think that's how freedom of speech goes. Unfortunately, not everything that we want to say should be said. Hopefully that made sense. That's the problem here. If that's what she thinks is the reason why it's flooding like hell in some parts of the Philippines right now, then fine! we can't really do anything about it now, right? We should stop leaving her nasty comments on her accounts and focus our attention and energy to those who are in need.
