Yada yada

Trying to plan my year a bit, but don't know if I'll have the energy.
Now, let's see if this cut works!

Garden - The garden this past year went totally by the wayside. Even my poor Egyptian Walking Onions were buried under weeds! They (the onion, not the weeds... well those too I guess) now take up my entire raised bed garden. They keep trying to escape. Don't know what I want to plant this year, but do want something. The onions have been a blessing, as any time we wanted green onions I just had to go out and find the youngest ones and pull them up! I have been making it to a church food pantry about once a month which has also been a blessing, but the fresh stuff is typically pretty sad, though I'm still grateful for getting it.

Books - I was hoping to keep a record of the books I'm reading. I did two years in a row. Didn't post them, as most of them are the romances mom reads. Nothing has changed in that regard. Mom's romances, my faith based (Love Inspired) romances that I usually buy when the Christmas themed ones come out, Jo Leigh's books of course, and any Jonathan Kellerman book when they come out in paperback. Lots of devotionals and the Bible, though not as often as I should!

Television - This year Mom and I both watched The Amazing Race since Bethany Hamilton was on it. Also got totally hooked on Rehab Addict. and Doctor Who of course. Got behind in Castle and have yet to catch up. Love House Hunters, but the new episodes are usually when Mom needs put to bed, so usually miss it. Also watched Under the Dome, Falling Skies, and The Last Ship.

Fiction - Have a ton of WIP's:
Bark and Meow (a Rat Series story)
Consanguinity
Limited Menu
Lost
The Rat Series Book 4
Thumbing My Way Back To You
The Power of "J" (a Rat Series story)
and an untitled redemption story started back when Ursula was with us and wanted it to be the theme for the holiday zine.
My brain seems to keep Limited Menu, The Power of "J", Consanguinity, and Book 4 of the Rat Series in the forefront. The others languish totally in the background.

Cooking - Really enjoy trying new recipes, and have even gotten fish-hating mom eating and enjoying fish! Not just breaded, but regular ole salmon baked with just a bit of seasoning. Found a nifty little recipe that uses peanut butter in a tuna fish sandwich, so she will eat that too! Since I couldn't post to LJ for the last century, I've already lost most of the recipes I've tried, so never got them posted to my recipe journal. Rats.

Th-th-th-that's all folks!
