I liked this one. I thought at first that the Japanese setting was not really described used-swap the names and they could have been anywhere, but it improved as the story went on. Nice work

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it, despite the... handling of the setting. XD;

(Which I guess I have to admit is sketchy because this is supposed to be set in an alternate history, I just haven't, uh, finished thinking about the worldbuilding yet, or for that matter, RESEARCHING it.)

Shuuran's great, all stoic and half-broken. My most favourite thing is the fight scene - well described and all action, and made downright dangerous by the illustration.

Thank you! And action scenes are the bane of my existence, so am glad you felt it was the best part. :)

Asian monstrous regiments and such, there is nothing not to like about this.
Nicely done action scenes, and I like how the characters steadily take shape as they go about their business.

The art too makes things so alive for the reader.

I really liked Ren! Which surprised me! GREAT JOB. ♥ I liked Taketo, too - loved the three of them together, really, and thought they made a wonderful team.

Also, that description of the demon tearing its way free of its host was genuinely creepy. Unnerved me.

I liked Miyuki, too! SHE WAS AWESOME. I liked how fast she was to accept the reality of who Ren used to be, and how she was really a wonderful lady.

ALSO I LOVED THAT REN PUNCHED TAKETO OUT; I WOULD HAVE DONE THE SAME, A+++++.

I liked the Kaoru - Taketo interaction in the beginning, too. Would have loved to find out more about Kaoru and what had happened to him. ♥ I like how I want to know more about the characters and the world and the backstory, and how there's an appropriate sense of mystery about this story.

"He claimed that a monster threw him and his boys into the river and told them to stop making trouble or it'd hunt them down. Remember?"
I want to know how Ren did that! ;)

Hee. Glad you liked Ren! <3333 I uh, spent most of the story flailing around so uh, am amazed that any characterisation came out at all. XD And I love me some grumpy crime demon fighting teams, ahaha.

And am also glad you liked Miyuki and that she came off as normal but still kind of awesome in her way. :D

In my mind this is like the pilot chapter for a long and retarded but possibly badass shounen manga - sadly, I do not really know what the plot IS beyond MOAR DEMONZ!!! MOAR SWORDS!!! FIGHT-O?!!! There's backstory for everyone, I just need to... make up my mind. ... Especially about the worldbuilding, orzzz

Oh, she just ambushed them one night and beat them all up with A BIG STICK. After fighting demons, a small gang of thugs was easy. XD She also had the element of surprise AND they were all cowards and half of them ran away anyway XDDD

Oh, really nice. Your characterizations are excellent. I'd love to read more about these people, but this piece is great as it is. Wonderful story.

Thank you, I'm glad you liked!

I would love to write more of this and turn it into a long and epically crazy shounen manga, but I... haven't got around to that yet. XD

(I've missed your reviews of the issues! Glad to see you back from Syria. XD;;)
