I'm quite fond of this story, and I can't quite put words to why! *grin* Simply that I find it quite enchanting, and I think it conveys a mood and a certain sense of feeling pretty effectively. Thank you for writing this and sharing with us!

Very nice. I feel like this story really captures that tension and longing of heatwaves, and the heaviness of the air just before a storm. Great job!

Is that an Everything but the Girl reference in the title?

It feels like the piece of a larger story, but it's very atmospheric all the same.
