I had myself a relatively good day today. Probably spent way to much money...but, well, at least I can track it this time. I have solid representation of where it went. Antique show.
Neat stuff (god I sound like a geek. Need to stop using neat so much. but its good and not to enthusiastic... who knows). I ran into Alex and Jadi there, luckily I only knocked one thing off thier table (my heart stopped). I got a set of 1950's WW1 airplane lithos from them. Also picked up some stuff for the brother (cinnabar collector he is). Except for the ass with the german books, a good day was had by all, well at least me. The problem with the german book jerk was annoying, but it gave me a book to hunt for. It is a german language (old style script and everything...dont know how to spell high german in german so I won't) book on russian theatre. I passed it up first time because even with the spine missing, he wanted $30 for it. When I went back to see just how many photos of the 1910 Ballet russ (?) production of scherezade it had in it, he had already packed up all the books...two hours before the show was supposed to be over. Wouldn't even look for it.
Oh well. If meant to be, I will find it elsewhere.
But with my love of arabian nights it got me thinking about things. Well, that and a discussion with Jadi. I have found some of the drawings online of the costumes, but pictures are hard to come by. I wouldn't mind adding to my garb to make it a little more of this.
Just neat. (chuckle and see above)
