Gnarls Barkley
A group that caught me seriously off guard, Gnarls Barkley features producer extraordinaire Danger Mouse: (Gray Album, Demon Days, Danger-Doom) who's possibly my new idol, and Cee-Lo: a spunky large black man with a VOICE! OH what a voice! Cee-Lo's voice (whether singing or rapping) has been feature on a lot of popular tracks including the background vocals in TLC's "waterfalls". I thought that was kinda neat. Please check out both of these links. The album version of the song is so upbeat (and I can't wait to find a live video of it!) compared to the performance in the second link that definately has a different feel to it. The visuals/costuming combined with the new instrumentation/tempo of the song really prove to me that this is a good artist.
