I studied history in college, but I know very little about France prior to Louis XIV, and not much about that even. This is why I enjoy talking to my dad about his time spent in south-western France near the Pyrenees and Basque country. After dinner at Dish last night I finally took my father over to Amelie's where I could tell he enjoyed himself. He told me how he used to like to walk down to the bakeries in town and get all sorts of good stuff. He ate a pear tart that looked really nice, while I consumed a chocolate eclair.
This weekend is probably going to be kinda quiet. I am getting up early tomorrow and going to dad's house to do some yard work for him under the hope that I will be compensated. I would also like to see either District 9 or Inglorious Basterds, but we will have to wait and find out what the weekend brings.
I watched a pretty good documentary on
Joe Coleman last night called "RIP". It was really neat to see him work with his jewlers goggles and one hair brushes. Gave me some kinda goofy ideas about some things I would like to create some day. I had first really become aware of Coleman when I read a small piece by him in
Disinformation's Book of Lies.
well hope everyone takes care of themselves..
