Self publishing experience?
I hate polls, so I'm just going to troll for answers and hope that people on my friends list have some experience here in this arena....
Does anyone have experiences in the self publishing arena that they'd be willing to share? I'm interested in experiences in both paper publishing (personally, vanity presses, private presses) and electronic publishing (including distribution of both paper and eBook materials). While links to things you thought were interesting are certainly useful, I'm actually interested in *your* experiences, good or bad.
And for the record, yes I'm thinking about it. (I blame redkcolumbus for setting the worm in my brain that finally burrowed deep enough.)
