Yesterday I heard on Front Row that Lucienne Day has died, aged .
She was a major textile designer in the post-war period, who along with her husband, Robin Day (designer of that plastic stacking chair which is now ubiquitous worldwide), had a profound impact on the visual identity of the UK.
