Culture Vulture

Dragged a more than willing Spouse and the Boy Laurence to the ballet last night, namely New Adventure's Edward Scissorhands, and very good it was too. I particularly liked the suburban scences (especially the driving scene).

But it was also very short so we were out of the theatre and in the car by 9.40 (from a 7.30 start). Unfortunately due to a mid-week match finishing about the same time, it took us 40 minutes to get back home.

The Mayflower have a very cunning ploy for last minute ticket sales: not half price but two for one which is fine as long as your party is even numbered. Once again the Theatre Royal, Bath comes up trumps. They do half-price on all tickets so as not to disadvantage those of us who like going to the theatre by ourselves.

Nothing quite a cultural planned for tonight. instead we will be doing odd little DIY jobs around the house and scoffing the rest of Nick's chilli (made with chuck steak we got from the farmer's market). I also plan on taking a long indulgent bath, complete with face mask.
