Chapter 10
"Physics, Chemistry, Marketing, Management and English" Inoo recited before rolling his eyes
"Come on, you've been studying since yesterday, it's impossible for you to not handle those tests" Hikaru insisted
"Hikaru, I'd rather study the whole day today again" Inoo scoffed as he tried to focus more on his book, he hated it when Hikaru comes up with things he wants to do on their weekend
"This is the only day off I have for this week and you're wasting it…" Hikaru muttered trying to look as pitiful as possible
"Use your off to study then" Inoo suggested making the other boy sigh in frustration
"Inoo-chan, this is…please! It's my treat and…" he stopped as Inoo angled his book a little lower, just enough for him to see his glaring eyes, it was certainly scary
"That's why I don't want to" Inoo said coldly not taking his eyes off him
"Why?"
"You've been spending a lot of money for me.." Inoo muttered as he put his book down
"And so?"
"I don't want to waste the money you're earning"
"Is that still what you think? How many times do I have to tell you that you shouldn't be minding about those!" Hiakru hated it when Inoo starts thinking of his own imaginary existing debts that Hikaru never even considered to be there
"And how many times do I have to tell you that you should just save the money for your future?" Inoo countered
"But..but I'm earning enough to save a lot" Hikaru defended
"Then save more" Inoo said putting an end on their argument as he reached for his book again
"You thinking that you're a burden again, aren't you?" Hikaru snatched the book making Inoo frown at him
"I did not say that" Inoo said flatly
"But you're making me feel that"
"I'm not."
"Then why are you not accepting it?"
"Because..because…fine. I give up" Inoo threw his back on the couch "I.."
"Inoo-chan, how many time and ways do I have to tell you that you are not.."
"How can I not feel that way? You're feeding me.."
"We share the grocery cost"
"You're letting me live in this expensive unit without…"
"You're helping with the cleaning.."
"You buy me clo.."
"They were given to you as gifts.."
"You buy things that…"
"You earn your own money"
"Could you just shut up and let me finish?" Inoo snapped as he glared at Hikaru who glared back at him
"I can't shut up because in the first place, you're getting insecure of something that you're not supposed to!"
"But Hikaru! I owe you a lot!"
"I told you! You owe me nothing!"
"What nothing!?"
"Nothing! I did everything because I want to!"
"But everything you did.." Inoo's voice slowly fainted
"Wh-what?" Hikaru's voice softened as well
"I owe you my..I owe you everything" Inoo covered his face
"No" Hikaru denied, he hated it when Inoo thinks like that, it was probably the only idiotic part of Inoo aside from cooking, of course.
"How can you say such light hearted words when..when.."
"Inoo-chan don't be like that" Hikaru said looking away
"But..why? Why did you even let me out of there?" Inoo asked taking the courage to look up, silence took over the room, he slowly got off his chair and knelt on the floor with Hikaru, he hesitated for a while before forcing Hikaru to face him "Why?" he asked once more
"Nobody deserves to be there" Hikaru answered and Inoo could clearly feel his heart aching, he wasn't able to stop it as a gasp escaped from his mouth as he pulled away from the latter and tears flowed out of his eyes like rain "Why?" Hikaru was dumbfounded, what is it that he said? He just wanted to watch the movie with him, he didn’t know this is how bad things will turn out.
