Chapter 8
"The usual?" the old lady on the cafeteria that Hiakru befriended asked
"Yeah" Hikaru nodded with a smile, he always felt at ease with the old lady's presence "Ah, make it two" he added as the lady took only a plate to serve him food
"Two? Why is that? You lost on a game again?" she asked half laughing
"Not really" Hikaru shook his head with a smile
"Here you go, enjoy" the lady handed him two sets of his favorite lunch
"Thank you" Hiakru bowed then proceeded to the counter paying for it. He walked to their usual place and sighed as Inoo was still nowhere to be seen
"He's not here yet?" Daiki looked around
"Could it be that he got lost?" Yabu suggested
"Oh, come on, he's nineteen, trust him" Takaki ticked
"He's nineteen and he's new to this campus, I would be surprised if he finds this cafeteria without any problem" Daiki pointed out drinking on Takaki's juice
"I'd check him" Hikaru stood up and at the same time took the trays they don't need anymore to place it back, he exited the cafeteria and looked around to see if there are any signs of Inoo and he was irritated on how hard some girls tried to take his attention and he purposely ignored them
"..come on" he heard a group of girls persuading and he had a bad feeling about it, he turned around and saw Inoo being followed by at least 4 girls and looking pretty much irritated
"Where'd you go?" Hikaru asked as he stomped his feet in front of Inoo
"Ah, they were…" Inoo stopped as he stared at the girls that looked satisfied with hikaru's closeness
"Come on, DAIKI is waiting for us" Hikaru emphasized making the girls back off.
"Is Dai-chan that scary?" Inoo asked curiously as they walked together
"Uhm, let's see, he's a black belter and kendo master" Hikaru answered casually
"What?"
"Don't you underestimate mister sweety, it's pretty rare for him to find someone he'd be clinging on"
"Me?"
"Yeah, it was a relief that he likes you, but he can be pretty annoying" Hikaru chuckled as he heard the girls behind them whimper, he looked up to see Daiki glaring at their direction "See?"
"It doesn't show on his face" Inoo commented
"Doesn't show on his face that he's scary, but for people, it doesn't show on his personality that he's like that" Hikaru tugged him as they neared on the table
"Those girls giving you hard time?" Daiki asked as he stared at the girls furiously
"Dai-chan, stop it" Inoo hissed as he turned Daiki's attention to his food
"How's architectural subjects?" Takaki asked as he played with the straw
"Non-stop introduction" Inoo answered lazily
"That'd carry on until tomorrow, don't worry" Yabu grinned
"But I'm getting tired of it" Inoo complained
"Cute" the four boys exclaimed together
"Neh, neh, this afternoon let's play together" Daiki suggested as he scooted nearer
"Why?" Inoo asked facing Daiki
"Ah, I forgot, we have a shoot this afternoon" Hikaru remembered
"Shoot? So you won't be home early?" Inoo asked
"Yeah" Hikaru nodded with a pout
"See? Even Takaki has a shoot, so we'd be left together" Daiki pressed on
"Takaki?"
"He's also a model" Yabu pointed Takaki
"Hey! Why does it sound like it's impossible!?" Takaki complained
"You're the one who's thinking that" Daiki said as he played with Inoo's hoodie

"Give me the damn key" Daiki stomped his foot as he swung his right hand with palms up
"Why?" Takaki asked with a frown
"Because I said so?" Daiki grimaced.
Yabu and Hikaru could only sigh lazily while Inoo watched the scene before them, Daiki has been asking for the car's key for more than half an hour now and Takaki won't budge
"What's so great about keys?" Inoo asked as he settled beside Hikaru on the bench, it appears that the fight would be longer than any of them could imagine
"Daiki doesn't like taking the bus"
"And?"
"And at times just like this, they would fight who would take the car home, since Takaki still has work"
"Who owns the car?" Inoo asked making even Daiki and Takaki stop
"Takaki" Daiki mumbled softly
"Did I say something bad?" Inoo asked looking around
"Watch him" Yabu mouthed to him instead
"See, now, you're going to…"
"But I'm with Inoo-chan! And you're with Hikaru!" Daiki protested
"Then you can take Hikaru's!" Takaki said
"Hey!" Hikaru complained and shook his head furiously as Daiki stared at him with sparkling eyes
"Yeah, I will take it and just pick it up by the car repair center" Daiki mocked, then opened his palm to Hikaru who clutched on his keys desperately "Who. Will. Give. Me. A. key?" he widened his eyes
"Fine" Takaki gave in as he saw Yabu and Hikaru glaring at him and pretty much siding to the shorter and very persistent guy
"Good" Daiki smiled triumphantly, he tiptoed in front of Takaki as the latter faced him brushing their lips together "See you" he said as he snatched the key from Takaki's hands and dragged Inoo to the other car pushing him in the next second.
