Chapter 66
"Can I have it back?" Yamada was seated on the couch across Takaki
"No" Takaki said as he stuck the phone away from his ear after hearing the last message and he put it on his pocket
"But.." Yamada tried to find a way on how to claim his phone back
"You called them already, right?" Takaki asked with a sly smile, Yamada nodded slowly as Takaki stood up and went to his side "Then it's just you and me now" he added as he knelt in front of Yamada hugging him tightly
"Yes" Yamada said letting his feelings take-over as he returned the hug
"What should we be doing then?" Takaki asked as they both pulled away
"Uhm….sleep" Yamada suggested "It's a little late..and I'm tired" he smiled weakly
"Okay" Takaki stood up and entered his room "Here, you can wear them, and the shower room is the first door" he passed a set of clothes to Yamada who shyly accepted it "I'm using my room's shower room" he gestured.
Yamada sighed contently as the warm water washed his body. A few minutes later, he joined Takaki on the bedroom as he was invited to sleep beside him.
He couldn't figure out why but Yamada can't sleep at all, it has been more than an hour maybe since the lights were turned off and there he is, staring blankly as the dark ceiling, he wondered what Daiki and Yabu are doing, he just wished he won't be into another fight with Daiki again after he goes home.
"Can't sleep?" he froze as Takaki's husky voice asked him, and arms wrapping around him
"Yeah" he snuggled closer to the older boy
"Tell me…how's life without me?" that's of course, not something that's easy to answer, basically because he doesn't know the answer himself
"I…it was normal" he answered feeling it was safe
"Daiki?" Takaki asked
"He's…he's a great brother" Yamada whispered proudly
"Yabu?"
"He's a sweet one" Yamada smiled
"Your dad?" and there was silence "Hey.." Takaki nudged him lightly
"I…don’t like him" it was the truth, no matter how much he loved Daiki and Yabu in such a short time, he still can't find a way to like his father, even if they say he's the one giving him all the luxury he has right now.
"Why?" and there comes the hated follow-up question, now that it's up, this is the first time that Yamada told someone how he really feels about his father
"I don't know" Yamada said placing a kiss on Takaki's neck "I love you" he whispered, but gulped nervously as Takaki stared down at him
"Ryo…" he started with a deep breath which scared Yamada "Remember what I told you when we last saw each other?" he asked making Yamada blink continuously
"We're over"
"N..No" he lied
"I said we're over" Takaki said looking directly at him "SO we are not what we were before" he added
"But..but why? Why did you bring me here? Why did you say you missed me? Wh.." Yamada didn't know how many questions he wanted to be answered
"Because I still need you" Takaki whispered "I need you" he repeated
"I'm not…I'm not good with any self-understanding cases" Yamada shook his head "Hit the point"
"Never mind, what's important is that you're here with me" Takaki then made things more complicated than they already were

Yamada walked happily as he dragged Takaki with him,
"Come, let's try the Ferris Wheel!" he pulled Takaki more as he found it was the right time to ride the last thing they haven't gone through.
He slumped back to his seat as soon as they got in, he looked up only to see Takaki staring out. Yamada could feel himself blushing as he stared at Takaki carefully, he really was beautiful….
"Will we see each other again?" Takaki asked all of a sudden
"Of..of course!" Yamada didn’t know how big was the possibility for that to happen
"How?" Takaki somehow glared at him
"I'll..I'll give you my phone and..and give me yours! Then we can contact each other and we can meet! And…and.."
"And you're going to waste all of your brothers' efforts from keeping you from me?" Takaki cut him
"What…what do you mean?"
"I've seen you a lot of times that I lost count of it when you were with them" Takaki confided
"I didn’t.." he suddenly felt betrayed
"But of course, only Daiki and Yabu saw me…they tried to keep me as far as possible from you…you think this will work out?" Takaki asked
"Of course! If..if we work..work hard together!" Yamada failed to push his cheery voice in
"I don't want to do it anymore is what I want to tell you" Takaki said
"You're kidding" Yamada shook his head as he looked out of the window, he wished the topic will drop
"Putting that aside, how will we see each other after this?" Takaki pressed on
"I…I can come anytime!" Yamada beamed
"Even if I say I'm out of country? What do you think will-"
"What is wrong with you!?" Yamada said a little louder than normal "Is this what you're going to do to me after…" he stopped "I'm going home tomorrow night and…and this…this is what you're going to give me?" he asked softly but no response was given to him
This is definitely the first time he had the guts to show Takaki how annoyed he was, and he's more surprised that the older boy seem to not mind his actions at all. He trudged his way to the unit and stormed in the moment Takaki unlocked the doors, he looked around trying to find his hand phone since he wanted to go home already, he's no going to wait for tomorrow, he could feel Takaki will break up with him officially if he ever stays longer
"Where is my phone!?" he demanded for Takaki to answer him
"What are you doing?" Takaki asked calmly
"Fine" Yamada stomped his feet as he made his way to the telephone, but the moment he lifted the receiver, he felt something hit his back and everything blacked out.
